GET INVOLVED

The Relay Marathon is more than just raising funds. Since 2013 it has developed into a community centred, family day out. So if your charity or business is able to support the event then do get in contact with us. We're always keen to hear new ideas and develop the event for the future.

GET YOUR BUSINESS INVOLVED

The contributions made by businesses from the Romsey area is vital to the success of the Relay Marathon. Our core principle is that every penny raised by teams should go to good causes and we can only do this thanks to the generosity of our Business Partners and Supporters. With their contributions of goods and services we can continue to organise the event.

As the Relay Marathon grows in popularity each year the event incurs unavoidable expenditure. We are still looking for local companies to become our business supporters, to work with us to make this a huge success that will allow so many good causes to continue their invaluable work. In return, we provide a tailored sponsorship package giving your business increased visibility within the community. Have a look at our 2017 interactive programme to see how we do this.

We have been extremely fortunate in securing the backing of some of the town's most respected businesses as our partners and supporters, with only positive feedback from firms with whom we’ve worked over the past 5 years.

Most importantly, the Relay Marathon provides an opportunity for local businesses to show their support for the community and to establish a considerable amount of local goodwill.

GET YOUR CHARITY INVOLVED

The Barratt Homes Relay Marathon has established itself not just as a fundraising event but it also gives a chance for charities to showcase their work and interact with one another.

In 2019 the Relay Marathon raised funds for 60 local and national charities, from household names to niche research charities. Alongside that, the financial support the Rotary Club of Romsey receives from the Marathon allows us to work closely with several local organisations.

We want to engage with as many good causes as possible and this is your opportunity to be part of that. Your charity could enter a team made up of their own fundraisers or encourage other groups to run in support.

Also charities are welcome to join us on race day for our village fete atmosphere. So why not host a stall with some engaging activities or just showcase your charity to our captive audience of over 3,500 people.

An unexpected benefit for recent years at the Marathon has been the interaction between charities, business and individuals working within similar fields but of limited contact with one another. This informal networking has become a small but meaningful part of the event and something that continues to develop.

As a company we are keen to support local events and causes, and I thought the event was fantastic and a great occasion for Romsey.

It is not just the sponsorship but the fact we get to be involved with the organisation of the event. There are so many ways in which we help what is a brilliant day out for the famiy
