We are very sorry to say that for the first time since we began in 2013, a combination of unavoidable personal commitments means that key committee members are able to dedicate the time required to deliver the Relay Marathon to the standard it deserves in 2026. This is not a decision we ever wanted to make, and we wish to offer our apologies for the disappointment it may cause.

We feel a strong responsibility to our sponsors, partners, and all those who take part each year. The Relay Marathon has grown into something truly special, and we believe it would be unfair to deliver anything less than the very best.

 

With that in mind, we have agreed that taking a 'fallow year' in 2026 is the only way to ensure we can return with the quality, energy, and organisation that you have come to expect of the event.

We want to emphasise that this is not a cancellation or a winding down of the event. It is simply a one-year pause to allow us to attend to personal responsibilities, with every intention of returning refreshed in 2027. Our commitment to the spirit and community of the Romsey Relay Marathon remains as strong as ever.

We will keep you updated as plans for 2027 develop, and we very much hope you will support us again when the Relay Marathon returns.
